Ingrown Hairs
Ingrown Hairs
Ingrown Hairs occur when the curl of the facial hair is so tight that some hairs do not manage to break through the surface of the skin. The ingrown hairs grow back underneath the skin, causing inflammation and infection.
TIPS:
- Shave during or just after a shower. Use the Facial Scrub two times per week to prevent ingrown hairs.
- Exfoliation helps to slough off dead skin cells and oil, which prevents ingrown hairs by making it less likely that hairs will get trapped below the skin.
- Ingrown hairs can occur anywhere you shave or wax - Face, legs, underarms, etc. Apply a soothing solution meant to target ingrown hairs. Try to let the ingrown hair heal itself without poking or picking at it.
- Avoid ingrown hairs by not shaving over irritated or extremely dry skin. Use a shave cream every time you shave to lessen the occurrence of ingrown hairs.
